Grind House Tarantino Rodriguez

Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez are making a movie together… sort of. They’re writing and directing independent 60 minute films that will be shown together under the Grind House name. The Rodriguez portion will be a zombie-based movie called Planet Terror. Tarantino’s portion will be a slasher film called Death Proof. But it won’t be your ordinary slasher film. The killer will be using a car instead of a knife. Ouch!
The planned release date is September 22, 2006.

Borat Movie

Hold on to your prostitutes Kazakhstan ’cause Borat the movie is coming. If a few skits pissed off Kazakhstan enough to threaten to sue Ali G, then what will happen when they see this? I really don’t know why Kazakhstan is so pissed… if it wasn’t for Borat, no one would even know Kazakhstan existed.

All-Star Superman

All-Star Superman is a reward for reading comics all these years. And if you don’t read comics or don’t like Superman, then get ready to start. Grant Morrison will quickly become your favourite writer. The ideas and scenarios he throws at you will blow your mind. He actually does the impossible and makes Superman cool. And Frank Quitely’s art will leave you in awe. Comics don’t get better than this. Buy this comic. The worst it will do is make you better looking.

Kill Bill Volume One Kill Bill Volume Two

Quentin Tarantino plans to release a merged version of both parts of Kill Bill in cinemas.

“I want to cut the whole movie together like one big epic with an intermission in the middle like a 60s film,” explained the iconic director. “It’ll be coming out in theatres. I’ve been holding off because I’ve been working on it for so long that I just wanted a year off from Kill Bill and then I’ll do the big supplementary DVD package” says QT.

He is set to start work early next year and get the final product in cinemas late next year. Personally, I’m more excited about the Special Edition DVD.

Sin City

My pick for best movie of the year. I haven’t had this much fun at the movies in a long time. I was glued to the screen with this film. Each story, every character, every word spoken held your attention. It’s also one of the most visually stunning films I have ever seen. Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller have created their best work with this movie. Can’t wait for Sin City 2.
