X-Men 3: The Last Stand made 107 Million! over the weekend in North America, making it the 4th biggest opening of all time. 

I thought the movie was a fun summer flick. That’s the most I’d give it. Was it better than the previous two? Well, it definitely wasn’t better than the second one and I guess you can say it was on par with the first one.

Obviously, the parts with Wolverine were cool. The Beast stole every scene he was in. And Professor X and Magneto have great chemistry together thanks to the two experienced actors playing the parts.

The biggest problem I had with it was that the filmmaker’s seem to have replaced character development with action scenes. But at least the action scenes were cool. Now, bring on the Wolverine movie. X-Men 3 gets a 7/10.

The new Ghost Rider Trailer is up here. It looks better than I thought it would. Check out that bike! The film opens February 16, 2007 and stars Nicolas Cage as the vengeful spirit Ghost Rider. The film also stars Eva Mendes‘ booty it seems.

It looks like there’s going to be a Wolverine solo movie. Here’s what Hugh Jackman had to say about the film:

“It’s probably going to be a prequel to the movies that exist, and I’ve just seen – not just, but about three months ago I saw – the second draft that David Benioff (Troy) has done. I think he (Wolverine) is one of the most interesting characters in terms of action heroes and comicbook heroes around.

So there’s already a script being worked on and Jackman sounds like he’s all for it. I’m sure this movie is going to be good, if not better than the X-Men movies. Wolverine/Jackman has been the best thing about the movies and I can’t wait to see an X-Men movie without Ian McKellen.
