Is the most entertaining, quirkiest comic of the 90’s hitting the big screen? Maybe so. Robert Rodriguez has been planning on making a Madman movie for a long time now and Madman’s creator, Mike Allred, gives us some hope that it might finally happen:

At a recent comic convention attended by AICN correspondent Buddy-L, Mike Allred told the crowd at his panel that Rodriguez is set to start filming Madman this May! The film is going to be shot all green-screen just like Sin City was. Over at Mike Allred’s Message Board, Allred posted that he’s busy working on “hundreds of storyboards” for pre-production.

Can the Madman film explain the recent fuss with Rodriguez closing shop on the Grind House movie? Look for an announcement soon on the Madman movie or at least as to why production has stopped on Grind House.
