Japanese Spider-Man

Here’s a short clip from the Spider-Man TV show that ran in the late 70’s in Japan. It’s got it all; bad fight scenes, funky 70’s music, and giant robots. Wait… giant robots? I’ll be posting more very soon.

  1. dude, for a 70’s movie these japanese effects aren’t too bad. whatever happened to the japanese movie industry? they seemed so far ahead of us back then.

  2. Well, It’s no Turkish Spider-man but…

  3. Hey… this isn’t Spiderman…IT’S THE POWER RANGERS!!! Just like the power rangers to have robots, bad fighting choreography, and fights in desolate areas…. this show was ahead of its time…
go! go! power rangers! you mighty morphing power rangers!!!!

  4. Spiderman meets Grandizer. Tell me that wasn’t a blocky version of Goldorak!!! I bet in the next episode Spiderman teams up with the crew from Gatchaman and kicks the crap out of Atlas from Astroboy. Then he hangs out (in a semi-creepy way) with a little boy named Daniel and they go save the Autobots from Majin Bu, who’s just evolved into Blastoise because he turns out to be the mutant child of Orco and Battlecat. As they battle Majin Blastoise, in come Nono, Telemachus and Yumi from Ulysses 31 who join forces with Spidey and his buddy Rocket Robin Hood to kick some ass. Of course Friar Tuck just sat on the side, taking a bite out of a piece of chicken, then throwing it away, only to replace it with another drumstick.

  5. so.. “Deep (just a guy)” I’m curious, how much time of your life have you wasted watching all those shows?

  6. Funniest Spider-Man ever!!!!
