Futurama Comedy Central

Comedy Central has struck a deal with Fox to air at least 13 brand new episodes of Futurama. The bad news is the new episodes will only start airing in 2008. I have to admit; I never watched the show when it was originally on the air. But I am now addicted to Futurama thanks to reruns. I watch it every night. I actually like it better than the Simpsons. Ya I said it.

iPod Video

Apple wants to sell you movies from their iTunes Store for $9.99. They sell songs for $0.99 and TV shows and music videos for $1.99 so the $9.99 price for a movie sounds fair, right? Not to the movie studios.

Apple CEO Steve Jobs, who has been personally involved in the talks, initially proposed selling all films at a flat price of $9.99 — an offer the studios flatly rejected.

So it looks like they’re going to haggle over a price that will be over $9.99, which is ridiculous. If the price of a downloadable movie is going to be more than the actual DVD, why the heck would anyone want to pay more for a download?. Ah, movie studios. You gotta love ‘em.

Stop Borat Website

The Kazakhs are still pissed at Borat. Kazakhstanis Against Borat is a website run by a group of Kazakhs angry at Borat’s portrayal of the Kazakh people. They’re hoping to convince people that Kazakhstan and it’s people are not like the Borat character. The website is hilarious. If you’re a Borat fan you have to check it out. Trust me.

“Borat makes lie about Kazakhstan! Borat has made us look a lot embarrassed and many towns and villagers have become angry”.

Zhang Ziyi Mulan

I already mentioned that super cute Zhang Ziyi will be in the new Seven Samurai remake, and now it looks like she’s up for another remake of sorts. Zhang Ziyi is in negotiations to play the title role in the live-action Mulan film. More Zhang Ziyi is definitely not a bad thing.
