Superman Batman Movie

Looks like this might actually happen. Here’s what Superman Returns director Bryan Singer had to say about it:

Singer said he’d consider directing a “Batman vs. Superman” flick, but only after the Man of Steel establishes his identity a bit more thoroughly. “I’ve thought about it for a long time — even a longer time ago, actually,” the director revealed. “But I don’t know who would be the villain. I guess Batman would be the villain, but then he can’t be too bad, because he is Batman. So not quite yet. … I think Superman needs to have his own movies for a little while before that happens.”

Now is that a tease or what? I’ve read dozens of Superman/Batman fights and can assure you that this could be one hell of a brawl. Maybe after their fight they can team up against the George Clooney Batman.

  1. Jim Says:

i got a better idea: justice league. script based on alex ross’ justice series. how not to handle it: xmen the last stand style, where you cram as many superheroes in every frame as possible. example: don’t put aquaman in space.

  2. Ericson Says:

I agree; Alex Ross` Justice comic series would make one hell of a movie. The Superman ambush alone would be worth the ticket price. Good Call.

  3. Maryscott O'Connor Says:

    OH, better still:

Have a three way battle between the Three Bland Girlfriends:

Kirsten Dunst, Katie Holmes and Kate Bosworth.

Winner gets a goddamned lifetime membership to the Actors’ Studio — but only as an observer.

  4. Gina Says:

They need to up the ante on interesting female sidekicks/damsels in distress…Katie Holmes and Kate Bosworth just don’t cut the mustard for me. We need some interesting ones, like Helena Bonham Carter, Parker Posey or Scarlett Johanssen…women with spunk, you know? It’s always the same pathetic ones who can barely act or are the hype of the moment for their scandals and/or eating disorders…or maybe just being bad actresses…
