Samuel L. Jackson is the man. As if the promotion for Snakes on a Plane wasn’t crazy enough, Sam convinces anyone who didn’t plan on seeing the movie, to go see it. I can’t wait for Friday.

Britain’s Daily Express newspaper is reporting that Jude Law is in talks to play General Zod in the next Superman movie.

“Zod is going to be the main bad guy. Some say they should use an unknown but the director Bryan Singer is looking at Jude. The similarities between him and Stamp are clear.”

Now, I can definitely see Law as General Zod but why the hell are they not bringing in some new characters? Superman Returns was basically the same movie as Superman, just not as good. They really need to make the next one refreshing. What they need to do is bring in a new villain, like Bizarro. Now that would be an exciting movie.

There’s a rumor going around that Johnny Depp, 43, is going to retire from acting soon after he turns 50. Here’s the quote that started the rumor:

“I won’t last in film much after I turn 50. People go on about how well I look for my age, but what happens when it all drops? I could end up as the Cliff Richard of film”

Well, I’m sure you’re thinking the same thing I am; no way. Sounds to me like Depp was only joking around. There’s no way that this generation’s best actor will retire anywhere near 50. Personally, I don’t think Johnny Depp should even think about retirement… not until he gets cast in a Quentin Tarantino movie. What do you think?
