Borat Visits The White House
September 29th, 2006Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev arrived yesterday in Washington to hold talks with President Bush. And as previously mentioned, one of the topics that would be discussed is that of Sacha Baron Cohen’s Borat character. Turns out the Kazakh President isn’t too happy with the way Borat has been portraying the Kazakh people. Well, I’m sure he’s even more pissed now. Borat made a surprise visit to the Kazakh embassy and the White House yesterday. Unfortunately, he didn’t get very far.
Secret Service agents turned away British comedian Sacha Baron Cohen, in character as the boorish, anti-Semitic journalist, when he tried to invite “Premier George Walter Bush” to a screening of his upcoming movie, “Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan.”
How great would it have been if Borat ran into the Kazakh President or, even better, George Bush? I’d pay money to see a clueless Bush be confronted by Borat. Until then, here’s the video of Borat’s trip to Washington: Part One, Part Two
