Star Wars vs. Battlestar Galactica

Usually, fan made movies are unwatchable. Especially when it comes to Star Wars. But wait until you see this fan made CG video of a space battle between Star Wars and Battlestar Galactica. They filmed it in the Battlestar Galactica style and it looks amazing. One can only hope that the Star Wars TV show will have action scenes as good as this.

LAME. The Vipers are firing x-wing style laser shots instead of machine gun bursts.
Otherwise impressive, but that realy ruins it for me… BS has its own physics and sound design that they didn’t realy even try to match.

This is pretty good, but Battlestar has a distinctive physics and sound design that they didnt even try to match…

I want to see a modern BSG Vs. star wars,Star destroyers can’t hold their own with rail guns and standard gun fire compaired to dumb ass lasers

I thought they did a great job reguardless of the mundane detail of rebel laser systems on Vipers. Remember, the old BSG (whose ships are depicted in the video) did use lasers. And yes, it would be nice to see the new galactica face off with the menacing Star Destroyers. Especially since Galactica doesnt instill the same fear factor the destroyers did. Would be nice to see who was really better.

A Star Destroyer, despite the name, is a heavy cruiser. Even on the official sites, the Star Destroyer has the fire power to crush anything under the heavy destroyer class. Even the new Galactica, with its heavy rail guns, would not last long verses a Imperator class star destroyer, and that’s whats in the video. Six class nine turbo laser turrets (with four cannons on each), with two class ten ion cannons (with four cannons on each)….. um one volley and say good bye to any Colonial battlestar, new, or old show. And, by the way, you forgot the shields on the Star Destroyers.
