The Hollywood Reporter says that British cutie Michelle Ryan has landed the title role on NBC’s drama pilot “The Bionic Woman,” an updated version of the 1970s series.

Ryan, best known for her five-year turn on the popular BBC soap “EastEnders,” will play a bright woman who is transformed into a technological wonder with $50 million worth of bionic components implanted in her body.

Well, I’m not sure what $50 million can buy you these days, but I’m sure they’ll think of a few interesting enhancements. And if the new show is half as good as this video clip of the original Bionic Woman verses a couple of evil fembots, then I’m all for it.

The Grammy Awards were also on last night and I don’t think I need to tell you that watching reruns of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air would have been a better idea. The show was utterly boring as always. Even The Police were a bit of a let down. Couldn’t they have played something other than Roxanne? I have no idea what the Rodeo Drive Walk of Style Awards are, but I sure wish I were there. Some of the celebrities that attended were Jennifer Lopez, Evan Longoria, and Penelope Cruz, and they all looked absolutely jaw dropping. Are the Rodeo Drive Awards some sort secret gathering where celebrity babes dress their hottest? I think so.
