I can’t think of a better way to celebrate Easter than with this trailer for Rob Zombie’s Halloween remake. You want to know the weird thing? The movie actually looks really good. Getting Rob Zombie to remake Halloween might be the best thing to ever happen to the franchise.

No. Actually it looks like it’ll suck. Why remake a classic? What good can be done that way? And really what can they do to “reinvent a legend,” other than add more severe violence. and that would actually ruin it in my mind because the original wasn’t about explicit violence so much as it was about building fear. It was a classic boogeyman story come to life. Zombie will just turn it into a dumb exploitation movie.
