Beowulf Trailer

Get ready for a ton of movie trailers and previews the next few days, thanks to the San Diego Comic Con. First up is Beowulf, which is a CG/motion-captured film (similar to The Polar Expres). The film’s cast includes Ray Winstone as Beowulf, Anthony Hopkins, John Malkovich, and Angelina Jolie. I actually did a double take while watching the trailer; I couldn’t believe it wasn’t live actors.

Even if this movie tanks at the box office, the producers will still make a profit if they just release a home PC version of the Angelina Jolie software.

That’s a nice, realistic looking screengrab, but the actual trailer doesn’t look the least bit real. We’re still a long way from capturing whatever it is that make people’s faces look real.
