Now here’s something I never thought I’d see: Jessica Alba, one of the hottest girls on the planet, upstaged by another girl. I know, I can’t believe I’m saying it either, but Alba looks like a plain Jane next to Korean popstar Lee Hyori. What drew me to the video in the first place was Alba, but I found myself in awe of Hyori once the video (shooting a Korean commercial) started. So I did the obvious thing and went surfing for anything on Hyori and came across this photoshoot where, to my surprise, she looks even hotter than she does in the video. Expect to see more of Hyori very soon.

This is one of the most bizarre things I’ve seen in a while. Lord of The Rings hobbit Elijah Wood made a guest appearance on Nick Jr.’s “new live-action music series” Yo Gabba Gabba! I know it’s a kids show and they’re supposed to be goofy and come off weird to anyone who isn’t a kid but c’mon, the “puppet master” dance? That is just plain freaky.

Nicole Scherzinger showed up on MTV’s Total Request Live the other day to promote her new solo career and single “Whatever You Like”. I’m usually gushing over Nicole but I’m not too happy with the way she looks here. Sure she’s showing off her legs, but she’s dressed like a hippie. She needs to show a little more skin if she wants to push a song like Whatever You Like. Thankfully, the video is a little more satisfying.

It looks like Scarlett Johansson is about to join Samuel L. Jackson on Frank Miller’s The Spirit movie, which is based on Will Eisner’s famous comicbook. Here’s the skinny:

For “Spirit,” Miller’s adaptation of the classic Eisner film noir comic strip series, Johansson is in final negotiations to play a dangerous beauty named Silken Floss. Eisner’s strip was known for its women with dangerous curves, and Miller is intent on keeping that tradition. (Source)

It sounds like a great role, but to tell you the truth, I would have liked to have seen Scarlett in Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller’s next Sin City instalment (for obvious reasons). Still, I’m not going to complain. I’ve always wanted to see Scarlett in a comicbook movie, and I’m sure Frank Miller is going to do everything he can to have Scarlett looking as sexy as can be.

Here’s the trailer for Shine A Light, the Rolling Stone documentary filmed by Martin Scorsese. Ya, I’m into the Stones. I’m not one of those college music snobs who only listens to the latest “it” band and considers any musician over the age of 30 as uncool. If you’re a real fan of music then you should know that it doesn’t get much better than a Keith Richards guitar riff. Anyways, the flick is an interesting look at how both the Stones and Scorsese work.

And I thought Heroes couldn’t get any better. Kristen Bell is set to join the cast of Heroes this October!

Peacock has snagged Bell for a key multiepisode arc of its sophomore sensation. Casting is a major coup for NBC since Bell — who plays the title character in Judd Apatow’s upcoming “Forgetting Sarah Marshall” — was reportedly being sought for several TV gigs, including a part on ABC’s “Lost.”

Bell will make her first “Heroes” appearance in October. She’ll play Elle, a character described as a sexy, mysterious young lady who has ties to the supposed death of Peter, H.R.G.’s past and the future of Claire. Elle will kick off her arc by committing a serious crime, though it’s unclear whether she’s good or bad. (Source)

Thank God Kristen didn’t end up on Lost. If there’s one show that is perfectly suited for a fangirl like Kristen, it’s Heroes. And judging by the description of Kristen’s character, I have no doubt that her appearance will be TiVo-worthy. Can’t wait!

I’ve got to hand it to Rihanna. Not only is she attractive, but I also consider her a musician, and that’s saying a lot considering the majority of young female singers these days are all fabricated and couldn’t hold a note unless they were in their studio with their producers. Also, she’s very attractive.. did I mention that?

Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle is one of my favorite comedies of all time, so I’m totally up for a Harold and Kumar 2. It’s silly slapstick flicks like this and Anchorman that make me laugh the loudest. The movie is set to open early 2008.
