It’s that time of year once again: “best of” lists! We’re kicking things off with our top 10 favorite videos of the past year. We’ll also be posting our Top 10 Celebrity Babes (of course) and Top 10 Movies of 2007 (and maybe a few other surprises) within the next week so make sure to tune in. Ok, here we go!
10) Elijah Wood’s Puppet Master Dance From Yo Gabba Gabba!
I know it’s a kid show and it’s supposed to be all goofy and weird, but that doesn’t change the fact that Elijah Wood’s guest appearance on Nick Jr.’s “Yo Gabba Gabba!” freaked the hell out of me. His “Puppet Master” dance made me sleep with the lights on for the first time since I was 12 (don’t ask).
9) Jessica Alba Reduced To Looking Average By Lee Hyori
Who would have thought that Jessica Alba would ever look like a plain Jane? Well, that’s exactly what happened when she filmed a TV commercial with Korean popstar Lee Hyori. Check out the debate the video caused the first time it was posted, and more proof that Hyori is hotness incarnate (i.e. pictures) here.
8) How Salma Hayek Got Her Breasts
This video might not have been filmed in ‘07 but it did make the rounds this past year and had everyone’s attention from beginning to end: Salma Hayek tells David Letterman how she got to be the proud owner of her breasts.
7) Conan O’Brien Visits Industrial Light and Magic
You know when Conan O’Brien makes a video of one of his visits you’re sure to be in stitches. Here’s the funniest one he did this year: his visit to nerd heaven, Industrial Light and Magic. The C3PO bodysuit scene alone would have made the list alone. Hilarious!
6) Saturday Night Live’s Body Fusion
Saturday Night Live’s Digital Shorts are by far the funniest sketches the show has to offer. It was actually tough choosing just one for the list but we all agreed that Drew Barrymore and her Body Fusion gals from the 80’s had the biggest laughs form beginning to end.
5) The Zombie Turtle Kid
Ok, the zombie kid who likes turtles isn’t exactly what we normally post here, but he did end up being a celebrity not long after this video hit the net so that justifies his appearance on the list. That, and the video is one of the funniest things I have ever seen.
4) Paris Hilton Grilled By David Letterman
I’ll make this short and sweet: the most satisfying moment of the year.
3) Johnny Depp Serenaded By Pirate Children
Weird, shocking, impressive, cute, crazy… those are just a few of the words to best describe Johnny Depp’s appearance on a Japanese TV show during his Pirates 3 promotional tour. I highly doubt that you won’t be bewildered by the pirate children and their crazy antics.
2) Tracy Morgan And His Loaf Of Bread
I have seen this video probably about two dozen times and I still crack up when watching it. Comedian Tracy Morgan showed up at some early morning TV show to promote a stand up gig and he just killed on it. I’m not sure if it was all planned or not, but damn this is hilarious.
1) Will Ferrell Vs. His Landlord Pearl
The best video of the year goes to Will Ferrell’s The Landlord skit he did with Adam McKay and McKay’s daughter Pearl for their Funny or Die website. Not only was it the funniest video and one of the most watched videos of the year, but it also convinced other celebrities to start making their own promo/viral videos. Everything from Ferrell’s improvisation to the little girl that plays the landlord was just amazing. To put it simply, it is a work or genius.
