I’ve been a fan of Eliza Dushku’s since her Buffy, The Vampire Slayer days. Since then, she hasn’t really taken the big screen or small screen by storm (anyone remember Tru Calling? Anyone?), but I’ll tell you one thing she has done since then: She has achieved a level of attractiveness that can only be described as a Goddess. Not bad considering she was a real peach to begin with, but now she looks impeccable, as you can see from these shots of her at the 2008 Film Independent’s Spirit Awards. Joss Whedon’s Dollhouse can’t come fast enough.

Were you so bored with the Oscars that you shut off your TV after thirty minutes? Don’t worry; you didn’t miss much, but here’s a sixty second video of all the highlights.

Now, two things: Transformers didn’t win best visual effects. The Golden Compass‘ CG polar bears beat out the movie with the best visual effects since the Matrix… absolutely ridiculous. At least Daniel Day-Lewis won best actor, and not to toot my own horn, but I called it even before There Will Be Blood was released in theatres. Yes, bow before me mere mortals!

Believe it or not, Jessica Alba was the only celebrity showing off any cleavage at the Oscars this year. Not only was she showing off her mondo new cleavage, she also looked a lot sultrier than she has in the past year. Why is she now dressing like she should have been these last few years instead of dressing like a hippie is beyond me, but better late than never. Here she is folks, the best looking gal at last night’s Academy Awards, Katherine Heigl. Katherine stole the show in a skin-tight red dress that showed off her curves marvellously, I might add. She was done up like a doll, and had everyone gawking at her.

And it wasn’t just her looks that got attention… anyone else thought she was so nervous she was going to pass out during her presentation? I was sure we were going to see Jack Nicholson giving her mouth-to-mouth resuscitation.

Well, it’s finally here. The teaser trailer to the X-Files 2 movie was shown at this past weekend’s WonderCon (with, believe it or not, Chris Carter, Gillian Anderson, and David Duchovney in attendance) and we’re lucky enough that someone filmed it and tossed it up on YouTube. The video quality is crappy, from an even crappier angle, but I’ve been waiting years for some more X-Files and I’m sure there’s a ton of you who are just as eager to see the trailer.

To be quite honest though, the trailer isn’t all that exiting. It’s basically just a bunch of random shots that don’t really give you an idea of what the movie is about. Still, it’s great to see Mulder and Scully running around in the pitch black darkness again.
