When I first heard that Frank Miller (creator of 300, Sin City) would be adapting Will Eisner’s The Spirit comicbook for the big screen, I thought it would be a straightforward summer superhero flick, but after checking out this incredibly awesome teaser trailer, it looks like Miller has added his own personal style to the movie and now The Spirit could easily be called Sin City 2… and I couldn’t be happier.

Check out the trailer and these shots of a very leggy Eva Mendes promoting the movie at this past weekend’s New York Comic Con along with her sexy character poster. The Spirit hits theatres in early ‘09.

If you grew up in the 80’s, chances are you were either a Transformers fan or a G.I. Joe fan. I was both, but I dug G.I. Joe slightly more, so I’m actually, believe it or not, anticipating the upcoming live action G.I. Joe movie even more than I was for the Transformers movie. The first shot of Snake Eyes was pretty damn cool, and here’s Rachel Nichols as the crossbow carying readhead Scarlett. I’m not crazy about the dark suit, but she’s easy on the eyes so it’s all good. Personally, I’d rather see her running around shooting Cobras in that red dress of hers.

And the David Letterman leg parade continues! This time, it’s Kristen Bell showing off her stems on The Late Show to help promote Forgetting Sarah Marshall. And even though Charlize Theron and Natalie Portman did a great job of “promoting” their respective movies, Kristen looks to be a little more convincing thanks to an even shorter dress. Who would have known that David Letterman would be responsible for getting all the starlets in Hollywood to show off their legs?

And for something a little different… here’s the trailer to the animated DVD Batman: Gotham Knight, which consists of six stories set in between Batman Begins and The Dark Knight. I’m not that big of an anime fan, but it does look pretty cool and anything related to Christopher Nolan’s Batman franchise is a must for me. The DVD is released on July 8th.
