Sean Avery Elisha Cuthbert

You guys know I’m a huge Hockey fan, right? And if you’ve paid attention to my Elisha Cuthbert posts, you’ve probably noticed that the guy I despise the most in the NHL is Dallas Stars forward/uber-pest Sean Avery, who just happens to be Elisha Cuthbert’s ex-boyfriend (Cuthbert is now dating Calgary Flames defenseman Dion Phaneuf). Anyways, here’s what Avery had to say to reporters yesterday before the Stars/Flames game:

Click here to see the Video

“I just want to comment on how it’s become like a common thing in the NHL for guys to fall in love with my sloppy seconds. I don’t know what that’s about. Enjoy the game tonight.” (Source)

Not very classy to say the least, and the NHL agrees; Avery has been suspended indefinitely.

Now I know there are a ton of you out there who think what Avery said isn’t that big of a deal, but you have to understand that this is the straw that broke the camel’s back. The guy has a long, long list of idiotic, uncalled for, and disrespectful stunts that have no place in the Hockey world (what does he think this is? The NBA/NFL?). And the fact that it was all premeditated just goes to show you what kind of a guy he is. Plus I really, really hate him. But you know what? Forget about suspending the prick; I want him to stay in the NHL just because maybe someday we’ll get the chance to see him get pummelled by George LaRaque. Then it would have all been worth it.

  1. Jerome Says:

I would love to see him get pummeled by Laraque too but it’s tough now with them playing in seperate conferences. Dallas doesn’t play Montreal very often.

  2. Popoholic Says:

One can still dream can’t he?

  3. MeNotYou Says:

I seem to remember you posting pics of her in a bikini some months back and talking about her being passed around by NHL players.

    Hypocrite.

  4. Shannon Says:

Not classy, but definitely funny. There is no way in hell Avery should have been suspended.

  5. Popoholic Says:

MeNotYou: Your memory obviously sucks donkey balls because I’ve never said or hinted at such a thing. A quick search through our Elisha Cuthbert posts will confirm that. So you must be confusing Popoholic with another website you twit!

  6. Gene Says:

What the hell happen with FREEDOM OF SPEECH he din’t scream fire in a crouded room damn it stupid @$$ POLITICAL CORRECTNESS crap no one can say anything anymore , you get fired ,suspended,or taken your tv commercials off the air ,is so stupid he can say anything he wants

  7. bowlby4 Says:

He also dated Rachel Hunter who is now engaged to LA King Jarret Stoll.

  8. Dan Says:

    It’s %#$@!#$ hockey ….. it’s not the Disney Channel

  9. Earl Says:

Cant stand Avery (really $#%&%#! hate him) as a Devils fan who suffered through his crap when he was with the Rangers but have to say that he shouldn’t be suspended or punished in any way for what he said. I would be surprised if he didn’t get legal representation and go after the league and the Stars management for this. His comments were in poor taste and offensive but they aren’t illegal. When we ban comments cause we dont like them we will be in a country like Nazi Germany or Stalinistic Russia and then there will be no hotties on the web or any other forms of fun.

  10. averybrainslow Says:

Some people are missing the point of what he has done here. overall the comment is not the worst thing that can be said, but he is getting suspended because he made this comment while he was representing the NHL as a Dallas Stars player. The NHL is a business and Avery was at work when he said this. Most professional jobs would not tolerat this type of behavior either on the work site. It would be different if he was at some bar and he found some random reporter to say this to. There is a time and place fot thoes kind of comments and at work is not one of them. Good on the NHL for taking action, although I would of liked to see what would of happened if he played that night.
