I’m not a Harry Potter fan whatsoever. To be honest I can’t stand the fantasy genre (I barely made it through to the end of the first Lord of The Rings movie). I find wizards and their robes ridiculous. Having said that, the trailer for the new Harry Potter movie, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, looks interesting. Are all the other ones creepy like this? There’s still no way in hell I’m going to watch it though. Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince nerds its way into theatres November 21st, 2008.

One thing that you may not know about me is that I collect banana labels. I’ve got a ton of them. Another thing you may not know is that I’m a HUGE fan of the Friday The 13th movies, so getting an early look at the leaked trailer of the upcoming remake shown at Comic-Con is pure ecstasy for me, especially considering that it looks way better than I expected. The video is blurry like the Wolverine trailer I posted yesterday, but it’s still good enough to make out Jason Voorhees slashing away. Friday The 13th hits theatres February 13th, 2009.

The highly anticipated X-Men Origins: Wolverine movie trailer was shown to a room full of lucky geeks this past weekend at Comic-Con, and holy $##! do we need an official High Def release ASAP!!!

Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine is as perfect as always, Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool looks interesting (where the hell is his mask!?), and Gambit, played by Taylor Kitsch, showing up in the trailer was fanboy cool. X-Men Origins: Wovlerine hits theatres May 1st, 2009.

So it looks like it’s official. Rose McGowan showed up at the San Diego Comic-Con along with boyfriend/filmmaker Robert Rodriguez and confirmed that she really is going to be playing Red Sonja. Umm, does anyone even care? I sure as hell wouldn’t normally care for a Red Sonja movie, but I’ve always liked Rose McGowan, even when she was deranged and dating Marilyn Manson, so seeing her in a chainmail bikini for an entire film and swinging a sword is definitely on my to do list. And if you need any convincing just check out those two Red Sonja promo pics.

Finally, a straightforward Jim Carrey comedy! The last time we saw Jim Carrey in a comedy that was actually funny was Bruce Almighty back in ’03, so I’m definitely up for Yes Man. The movie looks good but is it just me or does Carrey look really old? Whatever, I still think he’s the best comedic actor today. Yes Man hits theatres December 13th, 2008.

The Dark Knight took the title of “Biggest Opening Weekend Ever” when it raked in $155.34 million this past weekend, beating the previous record holder Spider-Man 3, which made $151.1 million on it’s opening weekend last year. It also set the record for “Biggest Opening Day” ($67.85 million), “Biggest IMAX Opening” ($6.2 million), and about another half dozen records. Add The Dark Knight’s $40 million overseas ticket sales and you have a movie that made close to $200 million.

And deservingly so! I saw the movie yesterday and yes, it is as good as people are saying it is. Actually, it’s probably better. I’m not going to state points on why it was one of the best movies I’ve ever seen in my entire life (we have celebrity shenanigans to get to), but I will say that it is an epic movie of perfection, and you have to see it because there really isn’t anything else quite like it. 10/10!

And all this hoopla about Heath Ledger’s performance getting Oscar buzz only because he died, is complete bull$#!t. His Joker performance deserves, at least, an Oscar nomination because it’s so enthralling it’ll haunt your dreams. Go see The Dark Knight. (Source)

The Watchmen trailer is finally here folks! One of the greatest graphic novels of all time (btw, graphic novel is just a snobby word for comicbook), comes to the big screen care of director Zack Snyder, who brought us the ass-kicking comicbook movie, 300. And just like 300, this movie looks like awesomeness personified!

I was worried when I heard that they were making Alan Moore’s comic masterpiece into a movie, but Snyder has reassured me with this trailer that he can do no wrong and that it is going to rule. I can go on and on, but I’m just going to tell you to go watch the trailer because it really is something else. Watchmen hits theatres March 6th, 2009.

I was a little sceptical when I heard that they were making a new Terminator film without Arnold Schwarzenegger, even if it was going to star (surprisingly) one of my favorite actors, Christian Bale, as the legendary John Conner. Arnold is the Terminator, you know what I mean? Anyways, forget all that; Terminator Salvation looks like it’s going in a whole new direction and it looks freaking awesome! Giant evil robots chasing humans in a post-apocalyptic world? Ya, you can’t really go wrong with that. Terminator Salvation hits theatres May 22nd, 2009.

I’m a big fan of Frank Miller’s work, both comics and big screen, and I’ve been looking forward to his Sin City version of The Spirit, especially after seeing the teaser trailer. Now, having said that, the new trailer has me a little worried. It looks a little too over the top, even by Frank Miller standards. This is either going to be a giant disaster, or a work or brilliance. Then again, having Scarlett Johansson and Eva Mendes play femme fatales is definitely on the brilliant side. The Spirit hits theatres Christmas day.

Here’s the trailer for the long-awaited Max Payne movie starring Mark Wahlberg and Mila Kunis. I remember playing this game years ago and liking it but the thought that it would make a great movie never crossed my mind. Well, I’m glad somebody thought it would because it actually looks badass. Max Payne hits theatres October 17th.
