The 2007 MTV Video Awards were held last night and I think it’s safe to say that they were the worst in history. What an absolute mess of a show. I knew we were in for it when the show kicked off with a ridiculous and career-killing performance by Britney Spears. Anyways, here are the celebrities that caught my eye last night and the video of Britney Spears’ show opener.

Here’s the trailer for Shine A Light, the Rolling Stone documentary filmed by Martin Scorsese. Ya, I’m into the Stones. I’m not one of those college music snobs who only listens to the latest “it” band and considers any musician over the age of 30 as uncool. If you’re a real fan of music then you should know that it doesn’t get much better than a Keith Richards guitar riff. Anyways, the flick is an interesting look at how both the Stones and Scorsese work.

Here are some pictures of Rihanna rocking the Dome a few nights ago, and I think it’s a safe bet to say that there wasn’t a fan at the show (female or male, thanks to that outfit) that didn’t leave happy. Now if only Hilary Duff could borrow Rihanna’s outfit, I would be just a little more happy about the current state of music.

Timbaland’s new music video features one of the coolest bands around, The Hives, and some of my favorite the WWE Divas, Tori Wilson, Kelly Kelly, and Maryse Ouellet! And they’re all filmed in the Sin City movie style. Check it out, it’s pretty damn cool.

A ton of celebrity babes showed up at this weekend’s Coachella Festival but the only pictures worth posting are these ones of a very leggy Cameron Diaz. She was the only one that actually tried to show off her body (looking great btw), unlike Jessica Alba and Scarlett Johansson who were decked out in hippie clothing. She definitely deserves some bonus points for that. And it’s also nice to see Cameron enjoying some real music for a change.

Hilary Duff showed up at Canada’s MuchMusic studios the other day, and it looks like she took my advice and spiced up her clothing. But that wasn’t the big news. The big news was that a man in the crowd outside the studio allegedly yelled death threats at Hilary.

Duff was being interviewed Tuesday by MuchMusic host Leah Miller on Live @ Much when a man in the crowd outside the studio started shouting at the 19-year-old star. According to an eyewitness, the unidentified man vowed to kill Duff, prompting several police officers to tackle him. “The cops slammed his face into the pavement,” said photographer Todd Gillis, who witnessed the incident. “He was bleeding.”

Yelling death threats? I’d be yelling my phone number and horoscope sign!

Obviously, I’ve seen Joss Stone before, but I have never seen her look like this. She looks hot. I’m shocked that she has been hiding legs like those this whole time. Heck, even the nose ring is working for me now. First Hilary Duff, and now Joss Stone. I’m not sure what’s going on, but I hope this trend continues.
