Well, I wasn’t expecting to ever read this bit of news. Scarlett Johansson is set to release a cover album of Tom Waits songs on May 6th. Yes, I typed that, and you read it correctly. Here’s the Skinny:

Scarlett Johansson will release an album on May 6 called “Anywhere I Lay My Head,” andPOP.com has learned.

The actress-turned-singer revealed in 2006 that she would be recording a Tom Waits cover album. Her album’s title, “Anywhere I Lay My Head,” is the title of a Waits track from his classic 1985 album “Rain Dogs.” (Source)

Personally, I think Scarlett should just stick to looking really hot, since she does that so well, and not go anywhere near a microphone. If you’re curious to know if she’s a good singer, just check out this video for a taste of her amazing singing “talent”.

If you ask me, there weren’t any winners when it came to last night’s pseudo Golden Globe Awards, only losers, and those losers where us. Thanks to the WGA strike and the awards not being held in their regular fashion, we were deprived of potential images such as these incredible shots of Scarlett Johansson from her 2006 Golden Globe appearance that we all still cherish. Infuriating to say the least. And if missing out on Scarlett Johansson cleavage doesn’t get the WGA and producers to get their crap together, then nothing will.

Straight from Belgium’s Elle magazine comes these much needed Scarlett Johansson pictures. They’re a nice surprise considering we have hardly seen or heard of Scarlett in ages. Yes, one of the hottest celebs in the world is barely in the limelight these days; a depressing thought. But since I’m a glass-half-full type of guy, especially when it comes to anything Scarlett Johansson, I’ll consider these an early gift from jolly ol’ St. Nick.

I just found out that Scarlett Johansson is starring in a new movie called He’s Just Not That Into You. Now if that title is in reference to Scarlett’s character, He’s Just Not Into You will go down as one of the most unrealistic movies ever. Seriously, is there anyone in the world that isn’t into Scarlett Johansson? Heck, even little old blind ladies are into her.

It looks like Scarlett Johansson is about to join Samuel L. Jackson on Frank Miller’s The Spirit movie, which is based on Will Eisner’s famous comicbook. Here’s the skinny:

For “Spirit,” Miller’s adaptation of the classic Eisner film noir comic strip series, Johansson is in final negotiations to play a dangerous beauty named Silken Floss. Eisner’s strip was known for its women with dangerous curves, and Miller is intent on keeping that tradition. (Source)

It sounds like a great role, but to tell you the truth, I would have liked to have seen Scarlett in Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller’s next Sin City instalment (for obvious reasons). Still, I’m not going to complain. I’ve always wanted to see Scarlett in a comicbook movie, and I’m sure Frank Miller is going to do everything he can to have Scarlett looking as sexy as can be.

I have never heard of the Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Gala before today but it definitely has my attention now. Dozens and dozens of celebrity babes showed up at this event last night looking like a million bucks. And then there was Scarlett Johansson who looked like a couple million. She looked classy and sexy and in my opinion, stole the show. And here are the pictures to prove it.
