If you ask me, there weren’t any winners when it came to last night’s pseudo Golden Globe Awards, only losers, and those losers where us. Thanks to the WGA strike and the awards not being held in their regular fashion, we were deprived of potential images such as these incredible shots of Scarlett Johansson from her 2006 Golden Globe appearance that we all still cherish. Infuriating to say the least. And if missing out on Scarlett Johansson cleavage doesn’t get the WGA and producers to get their crap together, then nothing will.

Here’s a prediction. Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles will be a big hit this year. Not because it actually looks good, or that the super cute duo of Summer Glau (Firefly) and Lena Headey (300) star in the show… it’s because it’ll be the only thing on TV! Anyways, here’s the new female Terminator Summer Glau, and the previous Terminator, Kristanna Loken (who might make an appearance?), at the premier of the show. Can you say Hot Female Terminator Brawl?

All of our favourite shows might still be in hiatus (and from the looks of it, will be on hiatus for the foreseeable future), but thank God Conan O’Brien is back! It’s like your Brazilian model girlfriend coming back to you and demanding you sleep with her after months of her being away working on a Sports Illustrated photoshoot. Yes, it’s exactly like that!

Here he is rocking out to Radiohead’s Creep on Rockband, but with a real guitar of course, and singing Sabotage by the Beastie Boys in Edith Bunker’s voice. Sigh… I missed you man.

Holy crap, there’s a new American Gladiators TV show coming! This was one of my favorite shows back in the 90’s where we got to see middle-class pencil pushers get their bells rung in a bunch of, usually painful, challenges (anyone remember Assault with the tennis ball gun?). Check out the video for a preview of what the contestants are going to be up against this time around. The new American Gladiators premieres Sunday January 6th at 9 pm EST on NBC and is hosted by none other than Hulk Hogan.

I’ve been hearing about the new Terminator TV show, The Sarah Connor Chronicles, for a while now, but for some reason I never really gave it much thought. That is until I saw the trailer for the show. Surprisingly, it doesn’t look like a cheap, watered-down version of the movie; it actually looks really good. And best of all, we get Lena Headey (from 300) as Sarah Connor and the extremely underrated Summer Glau as the Terminator who’s job it is to protect John Connor. Can’t wait! The show starts January 13, 2008 on Fox.

It’s no surprise that they’re prepping a live action He-Man and The Masters of The Universe movie now that cartoons from the 80’s are a hot property for the big screen. Here’s an alleged animatics trailer from a previous He-Man movie development team, but it should give you an idea of what the movie could possibly look like, and at the same time, get you pumped up for a He-Man flick.

Eliza Dushku is back!

Buffy and Angel fans hold onto your hats because we’re about to get a new TV series from Fox created and written by Joss Whedon starring Eliza Dushku! Here’s the skinny:

Buffy the Vampire Slayer creator Joss Whedon is heading back to TV, along with his Buffy co-star Eliza Dushku, with Dollhouse, an SF series that Fox has given a seven-episode order, Variety reported.

Dollhouse follows a top-secret world of people programmed with different personalities, abilities and memories, depending on their mission.

After each assignment—which can be physical, romantic or even illegal—the characters have their memories wiped clean and are sent back to a lab (dubbed the dollhouse). The show centers on Dushku’s character, Echo, as she slowly begins to develop some self-awareness. (Source)

A new Joss Whedon TV show is definitely something to cheer about, but add Eliza Dushku to the mix and you have must see TV. I’m a little surprised that they just don’t go for a Faith TV series, but the premise of Dollhouse sounds interesting and I have no doubt in my mind that it’s going to be great. I just hope Fox doesn’t screw this one up.
